PAQVARO packaging concept: printed dry pet food, dog treat and pet supplement pouches

Packaging planned around your recipe and range

A training treat, a dry food and a pet supplement can need very different packs. Tell us about the product, how you fill it and how customers use it. We help compare suitable pouch options through our production partners, from a first printed range to regular orders across several flavours and sizes.

Custom dog treat pouches and dry pet food bags

For biscuits, dried treats, chews and dry foods, start with the actual contents rather than a nominal bag weight. Include the size and shape of the pieces, whether they are oily or leave crumbs, and the intended filled weight. Long chews and lightweight training treats can occupy very different volumes at the same weight.

Share an existing pack or proposed dimensions, including the base gusset convention. A fill check helps assess usable space, headroom, appearance and access to the contents. This page focuses on dry products and treats; wet food, retort processing or other demanding conditions need a separate assessment before any suitable route can be confirmed.

Stand-up formats, resealing and retail display

A stand-up pouch can provide a display face for a retail treat range. A flat pack may suit a smaller portion or a product displayed on a peg. Tell us whether the pack needs a zipper, tear opening, hanging hole or window; the available combination is confirmed for the proposed construction.

Consider how a customer reaches the last pieces in the pack and closes it between uses. A resealable closure and the initial production seal have different roles. Heavier contents, sharp pieces and a hanging display also create different handling requirements. Agree the format and any sample check before artwork is laid out.

A material specification for the actual product

Describe oils, aromas, moisture sensitivity, storage, distribution and your shelf-life target. These details guide the material discussion; a matt finish or metallic appearance does not establish protection. Ask us to identify the proposed construction and the supporting information needed for your intended use.

Any food-contact, barrier, shelf-life or recycling statement must be supported for the exact pack and its use conditions. A change of recipe, material or closure should be reviewed before treating a repeat as equivalent. Keep product validation and any required documentation in the approval brief.

Filling and sealing treat pouches

Tell us whether your team or a contract packer fills the pouches, and whether filling is manual or automated. Include the opening and nozzle space needed, sealing equipment and any packing conditions that affect the film. Crumbs, powders or oily residues around the seal are important trial considerations.

Agree who will check the proposed pouch with the actual product and equipment. A sample can help establish fit or handling, but its scope should be clear: a stock pouch or visual proof alone does not validate the final material, filled pack or shelf life.

Several flavours, pack sizes and artwork designs

List each recipe, flavour, size and artwork version with its order quantity. Identify shared dimensions and any features that differ across the range. Digital print options can be assessed around that full order profile, with viable quantities and the production route confirmed in the quotation.

Allow space for the product information, feeding instructions, barcode and batch details your brand needs. Supply approved wording and identify how variable information will be added. We coordinate artwork against the agreed pouch layout; the brand owner retains responsibility for approving product content.

Printed pet supplement pouches

For pet supplement powders, tablets or other dry products, include the product form, fill weight, dosing access and closure requirements. Keep pet supplement designs clearly identified when you brief a wider treat or food range. Product suitability and any documentation remain specific to the selected construction.

If you are briefing a human nutrition product, use our supplement packaging page for powder, serving and range-planning considerations.

Launch quantities and managed repeat supply

Send quantities per design, the delivery date you are working towards and the likely reorder pattern. A launch, seasonal flavour and established repeat line can need different production options. We confirm quantities, timing, sample stages and commercial terms for your specification rather than advertise one minimum for every pet pouch.

Already buying pet packaging? Send the current specification or an empty sample, artwork reference and order profile for our free price and specification review. For repeats, identify the approved reference and any recipe, filling or artwork changes so the next quotation starts from the correct details.

Your questions, answered

Can you source custom dog treat pouches?

Yes. Send the treat type, filled weight, proposed dimensions, quantities per design and any closure or display requirements. We confirm an available production specification through our partners.

Can the same order include several pet food flavours?

We can assess the range together. List the quantity and artwork for each flavour and size; the quotation confirms the production route and any quantity requirements per design.

Can you supply printed bags for dry dog food?

We assess dry food pouch requirements against the product, fill weight, dimensions and handling conditions. Larger or heavier packs need their own format and construction assessment; availability is confirmed in the quote.

Can I check a sample before ordering?

We agree whether a stock sample, material swatch or another sample/trial stage answers your question. Its scope, availability and any cost are confirmed before proceeding.

Which material requirements should I include?

Describe your product, storage, distribution and shelf-life target, together with any technical documentation you need. The proposed construction and supporting information are reviewed for that intended use before approval.
